Closing your account

Your personal profile is your account

"This profile is your account's own. Closing it closes your entire account." Your pages, your shop and your conversations go with it.

Closing happens from the Profile tab → ⚙️, right at the bottom of the screen: "Close my account". You'll need proof of identity less than ten minutes old.

If you only see “Close this page”

It means your active profile is a page. The two entries are never offered together, and the screen gives you the detour itself: "Looking to close your account? Switch back to your personal profile, then reopen these settings."

That isn't a fault — it's deliberate, so nobody closes an account thinking they're closing a page.

Sellers: request your payout before closing

"If your wallet has a balance, request your payout before closing: it is not claimed automatically."

Before you confirm, the screen announces: all your profiles closed together, your shop and your order history, immediate sign-out from every device, and the 30 days. You have to tick "I understand that after 30 days, nothing will be carried over."

What happens


Your profile and your pages	Can no longer be found: not in search, not by their link
Your posts	Are not erased — they stay readable where they were posted, signed "Friym user"
Your conversations	Become read-only, on both sides
Your products	Are pulled from sale
Your `@usernames`	Become available to someone else after 30 days

This isn't an erasure

Friym doesn't erase. It makes things unfindable and anonymises them. That's what lets a conversation somebody else lived through, or an order they placed, still make sense after you leave.

Closing isn't a data deletion request

There is no export or erasure request in the app. Closing is a different thing: it makes you unfindable and anonymises you, it doesn't erase.

If you want your data deleted, write to support@friym.com: that request doesn't go through a screen.

You have 30 days to come back

Closing is reversible for 30 days. After that, it becomes permanent.

To reopen: simply sign in as usual. After you identify yourself, Friym shows the closing date, the deadline, and offers to reopen. See Reopening a page or an account.

After 30 days, coming back brings nothing with it

"After 30 days of closure, coming back with this address creates a brand new account: nothing from the old one is carried over."

If a sale is in progress

Closing is refused while an order isn't finished or a payout isn't settled. Nothing is lost: finish, then start again.
