Closing a page

A page is closed from its own settings:

Switch to the page → ⚙️ → bottom of the screen → "Close this page"

You'll need proof of identity less than ten minutes old — see Actions that need fresh proof.

It's one of the five things that can't be delegated: no team member can close your page.

What Friym tells you before you confirm

"The page can no longer be found: not in search, not by its link, not in anyone's following list."
"Your {n} followers lose the page."
"This page's conversations become read-only, on both sides."
"Your products are pulled from sale."
"Your account, your other profiles and your sign-in are untouched."

Your posts survive, anonymised

"Your posts are not erased: they stay readable where they were posted, signed “Friym user”, but are no longer surfaced in any feed."

So closing a page isn't a deletion. It's a disappearance from the surface of the product: no longer findable, no longer suggested, no longer active.

"You can reopen the page for 30 days. After that, its handle becomes available to someone else."

After closing, the screen shows: "Page closed — You can reopen it now, or any time until {date}." See Reopening a page or an account.

Commerce protects closure: you don't close a page that still owes a delivery, or that's waiting on money.

Message	What to do
