Message requests
Why your message is waiting, and how to accept the ones sent to you.
The Messages tab has two queues:
| Queue | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Chats | Conversations you've already accepted |
| Requests | The ones you haven't accepted yet |
The tab's counter adds up unread messages from both queues.
When someone writes to you for the first time
The conversation lands in Requests:
Message request — "{Name} wants to send you a message. Accept to continue the conversation."
Two answers: accept, or decline.
When you're the one writing
Your message goes out, but the conversation stays pending until the other person accepts it. That's not a fault, and it isn't a block: the screen shows the wait.
Silence isn't necessarily a refusal
Plenty of people never look at the Requests tab. If you're waiting on a seller, give them time to spot it.
If the request is declined
The conversation moves to the declined state. You can't write in that thread any more.
