Inviting someone to the team

Sending an invitation, changing a role, removing a member.

Switch to the page → ⚙️ → "Page and team" → "Team""Invite someone"

The screen permanently shows "{n} seats left", and invitations already sent under "Awaiting a reply — Invited as {role}".

Find the person

"Type a name or an @username: matching profiles appear below."

The person must already have a Friym account

An invitation targets an existing profile. There's no email field: you don't invite someone who isn't on Friym yet. Tell them to create their account first.

Choose the role

"Invite with which role?" — the role is chosen after the person: "Pick the person to invite first." The screen shows the available roles and their remaining seats. A full role isn't offered. See Roles and permissions.

Send

"Send invitation" → "Invitation sent."

A pending invitation is already a member

There's no separate invitations list

The person invited appears in the team list, awaiting a reply. That's why cancelling an invitation and removing a member are the same gesture: the one that removes from the team.

The owner isn't in the list

"No one on the team yet. The owner isn't listed: that's a position, not a role." It's the question we're asked most about this screen.

Changing a role, removing someone

Tap the member: "What do you want to do?""Change role" or "Remove from team".

The person removed is told, and doesn't find out by hitting an empty screen: their app switches itself back to their personal profile, with "You're no longer on this team — Your access to {page} was removed. You're back on your personal profile."

If the invitation is refused

MessageWhat to do
"The team limit has been reached."Five people maximum. Remove someone first
"This invitation is no longer valid."Send a new one
"That role isn't offered on this page."Its seats are taken: pick another
"Team management isn't enabled on this page yet."Go through Opening team management
"The owner's account must first be protected with an authenticator app."It's your account to protect, not the guest's
