Opening team management
Switching on a page's team and what it changes.
A page can be run by several people. You keep ownership, you delegate the work: posting, replying to messages, managing products and orders.
Switch to the page → ⚙️ → "Page and team" → "Open team management"
Only the page owner can reach it: for a member, the entry doesn't appear.
First: your account must be protected
While your account doesn't carry an authenticator app, the screen stops dead:
Protect your account first
Opening a team multiplies the ways into this page. Your account must carry an authenticator app first.
There's no way around it. The walk-through is in Protecting your account — allow five minutes, then come back here.
What switching it on announces
The screen says three things, and they're worth reading before you confirm.
Five people maximum
"Up to five people will be able to act as this page." The team hub permanently shows how many seats are left.
Five, because a page isn't a whole company: in an organisation, it's never every employee who runs the account. The people who post, reply and ship are a handful. Beyond that you're no longer delegating — you're diluting responsibility, and the activity log becomes unreadable.
Everything is recorded
"From now on, every action taken as the page is recorded." That's the activity log.
You too
"Your own actions are in it too, and your managers will see them. A log covering only other people would be surveillance."
What the team will never be able to do
Five actions stay yours, whatever role you grant: the payout, identity verification, switching on commerce, closing the page and transferring it. They aren't merely refused, they're invisible to members.
The detail is in The five things that can't be delegated.
