Following creators

Your feed is built from who you follow. Following is therefore the gesture that shapes it, far more than any setting.

Searching

The Search tab covers everything at once: profiles, posts, products and hashtags. There's nothing to pick beforehand — the bar at the top sorts it out.

Suggestions appear as you type, and the full results arrive when you confirm.

The bar itself reads "Search on Friym…", and a Cancel button appears once you tap it: that's what takes you back to the explorer.

Two things that look like a disappearance

These two bring us a lot of messages, and in both cases nothing is broken.

A hashtag stops at 50 posts. Friym shows fifty at most, the most popular ones, and there's no next page: reaching the bottom of the list isn't a scrolling bug. If you can't find your own post under a hashtag, it hasn't been removed — it just isn't in the first fifty.

The explorer can be up to an hour behind. When you apply no filter, it works from a copy refreshed now and then rather than querying live data. That's what makes it instant to open. As soon as you apply a filter, you're back on live data.

That's why a brand-new post might not show up there yet. It isn't a penalty, and there's nothing wrong with your account.

Following someone

From a profile or from a post. It's public: the person gets a notification saying you followed them.

You can follow personal profiles and pages alike.

Your search history follows your profile

It's attached to the profile, not to the account. Each page has its own.

Following as a page

If you look after someone else's page, following and blocking are among the things the owner may or may not have entrusted to you. If the buttons don't appear, that permission wasn't granted. See Roles and permissions.
