Someone is pretending to be me
Reporting a fake account, and protecting your own.
An account using your name, your photo or your username to pass themselves off as you is impersonation, a reporting reason in its own right.
Report the account
From the profile in question: the ⋯ → Report, then the matching reason. Your report stays anonymous to the person concerned.
Give moderation what it needs to decide:
- the link or the
@usernameof the fake account; - your own;
- what shows you're the original — how long you've been there, your posts, your audience.
Report the posts too, not just the profile
A profile is reported once. If the fake account posts while pretending to be you, each of those posts is reported separately.
If money is involved
A fake account that sells under your name is commercial fraud, not just impersonation. Write to support@friym.com as well as reporting, with references for whatever you were able to observe.
Protect what's yours
- Protect your account with an authenticator app: see Protecting your account;
- check your connected devices: see Your connected devices;
- if you run a page with others, reread the activity log.
Don't confuse verified with verified seller
These are two different badges. The first attests public identity, the second permission to sell. An account carrying one doesn't necessarily carry the other.
